General Terms and Conditions (GTC)
for the use of services provided by St. Anton Classic KG
By using the websites and booking via the online shop of St. Anton Classic KG, accessible through www.arlbergclassic.com, you acknowledge and accept the applicable General Terms and Conditions (GTC).
Cancellation Conditions: See section 7.
1. General, Scope of Application
St. Anton Classic KG provides its services as part of the Alpine Ski School Bergsportarena Arlberg-Classic and the booking agency Arlberg-Classic (hereinafter referred to as "Arlberg-Classic") exclusively based on the following General Terms and Conditions (GTC). These apply to all legal relationships between Arlberg-Classic and the individuals using its services (hereinafter referred to as the "Customer"), even if not explicitly referred to.
The purpose of Arlberg-Classic is the operation of a snow sports school (ski school), including in particular:
- Providing instruction in skiing skills and knowledge (without guaranteeing specific training outcomes)
- Guiding and accompanying individuals while skiing
The version valid at the time of contract conclusion shall apply.
Deviations from these GTC or additional agreements with the customer are only valid if confirmed in writing by Arlberg-Classic. Any terms and conditions of the customer will not be accepted—even if known—unless explicitly agreed to in writing in individual cases. Arlberg-Classic expressly rejects any conflicting customer terms.
For better readability, masculine terms are used throughout these GTC; however, they apply equally to all genders.
2. Contractual Partner
The contractual partner of the customer is:
St. Anton Classic KG
Dorfstraße 57
6580 St. Anton am Arlberg
Phone: +43 5446 3311
Email: info@arlbergclassic.com
3. Orders and Conclusion of Contract
Arlberg-Classic services are advertised on the website www.arlbergclassic.com and in its business premises.
Contracts can be concluded as follows:
- Online: by submitting a fully completed form and acceptance of the contract via confirmation email.
- On site: by payment and issuance of a course card.
The services displayed in the online shop do not constitute binding offers but rather an invitation for the customer to submit an offer.
Submitting a fully completed online form constitutes a binding offer. The contract is concluded only upon receipt of a confirmation email from Arlberg-Classic.
The booking confirmation serves as a voucher for the booked service and must be presented to the course instructor at the beginning of the course.
Arlberg-Classic reserves the right to reject offers without providing reasons. Services may be delegated to independent, licensed ski instructors, ski guides, or ski schools (fulfilment partners).
4. Prices
All prices include the applicable value-added tax (VAT).
For small business operators, the gross prices are valid in accordance with § 6 UStG.
5. Payment Methods
- Online: Credit card
- On site: Credit card, debit card, or cash
Payment is due 14 days prior to the start of the booked service. If payment is not received at least 10 days before the start date, Arlberg-Classic reserves the right to cancel the contract.
6. Prohibition of Offsetting
Customers may only offset against claims that are undisputed or have been legally established.
7. Cancellation by the Customer (Cancellation Conditions)
- Up to 5 days before start - Free of charge
- Between 120 and 24 hours before start - 50% of the total price
- Less than 24 hours before start or no-show - 100% of the total price
The effective time of cancellation is the point when the cancellation notice is received by Arlberg-Classic.
In cases of partial use (e.g. attending 3 instead of 4 hours), the full daily rate will be charged.
If illness occurs after the course has started, a doctor’s certificate from a physician in St. Anton, Lech-Zürs, Klösterle, or neighboring communities must be provided.
These cancellation conditions apply regardless of whether the cancelled booking(s) could be fully or partially reassigned. This also applies to early termination of the booked course.
Cancellations must be submitted by phone, email, or post to:
St. Anton Classic KG, Dorfstraße 57, 6580 St. Anton am Arlberg
Email: info@arlbergclassic.com | Phone: +43 5446 3311
8. Cancellation by Arlberg-Classic
Arlberg-Classic may cancel or postpone services if:
- Weather conditions do not permit safe execution
- No lift systems (cable cars, ski lifts) are in operation
In the event of cancellation, any payments already made will be refunded within 14 days.
9. Accident Insurance
Participation in skiing involves risks, especially in off-piste terrain. Rescue costs (e.g., helicopter rescue) can be very high. Arlberg-Classic strongly recommendstaking out appropriate insurance (e.g., mountain rescue insurance or membership with the Austrian Ski Federation (ÖSV) or the German Ski Association (DSV)).
Arlberg-Classic is not liable for such costs unless caused by intentional or grossly negligent behavior on their part.
10. Safety Instructions
Customers must follow the instructions of the ski school and its representatives. Failure to comply may result in immediate exclusion from participation, without any right to a refund.
Participation under the influence of alcohol or drugs is prohibited and also leads to exclusion.
11. Vouchers
Vouchers can be redeemed at the Arlberg-Classic office. Advance booking is required.
Any remaining balance will be recorded as a credit. Cash payouts are not possible. The original validity period of the voucher remains unchanged.
12. Warranty
Arlberg-Classic guarantees the proper performance of the booked service but does not guarantee specific outcomes.
13. Liability
Except in the case of personal injury, Arlberg-Classic is only liable for damages caused by intentional or grossly negligent conduct and that concern essential contractual obligations.
Arlberg-Classic accepts no liability for:
- Typical risks of skiing (e.g., injuries, weather conditions)
- Damage due to missing safety equipment or poor self-assessment by the customer
Customers are required to provide truthful information about their abilities, health condition, and relevant medical history.
It is strongly recommended to wear a helmet and – for off-piste skiing – to carry an avalanche transceiver.
14. Place of Performance
The place of performance for all services is the registered office of Arlberg-Classic.
15. Applicable Law
Austrian law applies. For consumers with a habitual residence outside Austria, the mandatory legal provisions of their home country apply if they are more favorable to the consumer.
These GTC apply for the current winter season, which corresponds to the operating times of the Ski Arlberg cable cars (www.skiarlberg.at).
